District Blocking

New endpoints have been introduced to support district blocking, allowing certain districts to be restricted from performing Digital Identity Verification.

Districts can be centrally managed by Super Admins, while Tenants can block or unblock districts based on their business needs.

Blocking / Unblocking Districts

Tenants can manage district blocking in two ways:

  • Use General Filters to search for a specific district and use Actions β†’ Block / Unblock.

  • Scroll through the District Blacklist and use Actions β†’ Block / Unblock.

Tenants have full control to block or unblock any district assigned to their tenancy.

Validation Behavior

  • During Digital Identity Verification, the system compares the district value extracted from OCR with the blocked districts list.

  • If a match is found, the verification process will fail with the following validation error:

{
  "code": 3106,
  "message": "We are unable to process your application at this time. Please contact support"
}

Access Control & Permissions

  • District management permissions are enforced via the Admin Portal.

  • To grant district-blocking permissions to a user:

    • Navigate to Users

    • Search for the user

    • Select Actions β†’ Permissions β†’ Block District

Only users with the appropriate permissions can block or unblock districts.

Notes & Best Practices

  • District blocking is applied before completing digital identity verification.

  • OCR accuracy directly affects district matching results.
